Sales Engineer - Robotics Sector

Established for 30 years, and now part of a larger group, my client who is based in Hampshire are now looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team. My client will consider applicants from Middle England for good geographic coverage as well as applicants closer to their office location.

UK-based, fully autonomous company, consisting of 22 experienced and mostly multitasking colleagues, based in Hampshire, my client successfully realizes automation projects from idea-generation to engineering, manufacturing to service, and everything in between.

Sales Engineer role offers an excellent opportunity to apply technical expertise in the field of robotic system integration. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Technic.al and commercial evaluation of the customers requirements

  • High level concepting of Automation Systems

  • Development of build procedure and cycle time studies, to optimize the customer’s processes

  • Preparation of technical proposals and quotations

  • Identify and pursue potential new customers to increase opportunity pipeline

  • Working closely with technical teams to ensure proposals are deliverable

This role will require the occasional travel to clients across the UK. You will also be required to assist the Sales Manager with identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with both new and existing accounts.


The successful Sales Engineer will possess the following key qualifications, skills and attributes:

  • A relevant engineering degree

  • A proven track record in design led sales within the Robotic Automation sector.

  • Experience in computer aided design

  • You will be self-motivated and result driven with a keen desire to progress your career

  • Welding automation or robotic handling systems knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
