My client is looking for a salesperson to join their dynamic but small team. This role is an office-based role selling events, you will be required to travel to events circa 3x per annum for a week at a time.
As an exhibition/ events sales manager your primary focus is to identify, reach out to and sell to companies that fit within the events profile.
Primarily an office/telephone-based role, you will be expected to have a good understanding of prospecting and developing strong relationships with customers. Visiting similarly profiled competitive events and other industry events is required, to allow for face-to-face meetings with current and potential exhibitors, as well as to source new leads, build relationships and make sales.
The ability to communicate and persuade clients both verbally and in writing is paramount to the successful execution of this role. The focused nature of my clients’ events mean every lead and potential customer is important, which means the ability to engage with clients is vital, as is prospecting for new customers and opportunities.
As part of the event team, and one that interacts with exhibitors, you will also have influence on the development of the events upon which you work. Whether that be the long-term development of the event or the creation of features within the exhibition designed to increase sales.
Ideal Person:
Previous sales experience preferred
Self-motivated
First class verbal and written and face to face communication skills
Enjoy building relationships and having conversation with potential and existing clients
Highly organised
Proficient in Microsoft applications
Team Player as well as having the ability to use your initiative
Achievement brings rewards so being tenacious and competitive should be a quality you have.
Willingness to do well.
Driving licence and use of car essential due to location.
Remuneration:
Annual basic salary to 35k depending on experience, plus uncapped commission.
Progression comes in having greater autonomy.
