My client are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team. This role has become available as the team are expanding.

Having been established for 25 plus years, they employ circa 60 staff mainly from their Head office, although they do have other offices across the UK and the rest of the world.

With great staff retention and investment in looking after their employees, their passion for excellence in their field has made my client one of the industry's leading supplier of solutions across a wide range of industries.

Ideal Business Development Manager:

You will have an in-depth knowledge and experience with the sales process

Excellent at lead generation, relationship building, and closing sales

A quick learner with strong negotiating skills, and a track record of success

Represent my client, with a comprehensive understanding of their offerings. Sales team is the engine that drives their global consumer reach in productivity-enhancing hardware and software.

Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services or new ways of reaching existing markets

Achieve company objectives through effective planning

Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts

Maintain professional and technical knowledge of products and services

Liaise with the finance team, projects, design, and operations as appropriate

Create a sales pipeline

Draw up customer contracts

Meet with potential clients and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs

Track, analyse and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends

Provide management with feedback from customers

This role will require international travel to visit clients

Essential:

  • Batchelors Degree level or equivalent

  • Commercially and contractually aware

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and outlook

  • Excellent customer service

  • Must be able to work on own initiative and work well within a team

  • Flexible approach to adapt to changing needs of the company and customers

  • Results orientated with strong analytical skills

  • Understanding of CRM systems and best practices
