Senior Marketing Executive 12 month maternity cover 3-4 days a week.
My client is looking for a Senior Marketing & Business Development Executive to join a busy and supportive marketing and business development team.
You will have a passion for all things marketing and be supporting the delivery of the business development plan including implementation of all activities for clients.

Reporting to: The Head of Marketing & Business Development
The Main function of job:
Working with the Head of Marketing & Business Development in developing and implementing my clients marketing & business development strategy
Focusing on employment, the charity and education, construction and food & drink sectors. As well as data, alumni and budgets with the Head of Department
Managing agreed projects and initiatives using internal and external resources
Support the delivery of the business development plan, including implementation of all activities for clients, referrers and profile/defending market share for the employment department
Understand and monitor the broader market, identifying opportunities and threats and suggesting marketing ideas
Assist with and setting up of my clients wide cross referral activities and events
Assist the Head of Marketing & Business Development with the management of the client feedback programme
Working with the Head of Marketing & Business Development to support construction, food & drink, and charity & education sectors
Manage the marketing materials including the website, brochures and e-newsletters
Advise on best practice including digital marketing and SEO
Raise may clients profile in line with the brand using tools such as PR, advertising, sponsorship and project management of client directory
Data – understand and report on Source of Business data and performance data from key systems to extract key messages and trends
Budgets – work with the Head of Marketing & Business Development & the Marketing & Business Development Administrator to ensure tight budgets
Event management – provide guidance to the Marketing & Business Development Assistant on event best practice and initiate/set up/attend events as necessary
Ensuring activities are within budget and reporting on return on investment
Internal event management
Work with the PR Manager
Provide guidance to the junior members of the team on the coordination, production and distribution of e-newsletters and updates.
Review and edit where necessary content for PR, website, e-newsletters and other marketing collateral
Get involved with and support the social programme
Liaise with partners, stakeholders, suppliers and arrange procurement of services
To undertake any other duties that may be allocated by the Head of Marketing & Business Development
Ideal Person:
Have experience of professional services marketing, understanding of and ability to advise on both B2B and B2C marketing techniques and have the confidence to deal with senior team and interpret their requirements and manage their expectations
The role also requires a good knowledge of websites, social media and digital marketing strategies
Educated to degree level, preferably with marketing qualifications
Experience of professional services marketing
Understanding of and ability to advise on both B2B and B2C marketing techniques
Excellent English skills, with a focus on attention to detail and ability to communicate and write clearly
Confidence to deal with senior management, interpret their requirements and manage their expectations
Able to multitask, prioritise and work to short deadlines
Strong user of Microsoft Office
Proven track record of successful project management
A calm and professional manner
Well-organised, persistent and conscientious
Ability to work alone and as part of a team
Good relationship building and social skills to include tact, patience, understanding and persuasiveness
Smart appearance
CIM (or other equivalent) Marketing qualification desirable, or willing to undertake
Previous experience of Quark, InDesign, Google Analytics, email marketing tools and content management systems.
