Business Development Executive  - REF: DHBDE

My client who have been established for circa 25 years and with 15 employees, are now looking to expand their team with a business sales person. This is a newly created role, so the successful candidate will have a lot of scope to make this your own and grow with the company. My client has ambitious growth plans and the right person will be part of that growth.

You will be part of a Business Development Team that will be comprised of a Technical Sales Manager (responsible for new business from inbound leads, and who will provide expertise to support the Business Development Executive in creating proposals and pitches and delivering demonstrations, together with a Content Marketing Manager. You will report directly to one of the Executive Directors and the senior management team.

Purpose of the Role:

To deliver the company’s new business targets by identifying and securing £240,000 of gross profit per year.

Key Responsibilities:

To hunt and open doors to new prospects within my clients target markets to create new business opportunities.

To lead sales pitches and close deals to achieve the annual target including management and submission of proposals and cost estimates.

To collaborate with the Technical Sales Manager and Content Marketing Manager in the creation and management of proposals, pitch presentations and collateral to support sales activities.

Skills and Experience required:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in selling event management services - including experience selling at C-Suite level.

  • Successful track record of achieving sales targets in excess of £250,000 gross profit per annum.

  • Proven ability to network and build relationships.

  • Skilled negotiator with experience of selling high-end services.

  • Competent to manage proposal and pitch presentation deliveryCompetent with technology and CRM systems (Hubspot preferred).

Salary & benefits:

£40,000 basic salary plus realistic OTE 19k.
