PR Acount Director

My client are a award-winning public relations and digital communications agency.  They specialise in financial and professional services industries and are looking for an experienced PR Account Director whose focus will be with their financial services clients.

You will need to have at least 5 years PR agency experience with a knowledge or background within the hedge fund and/or alternative investment.

Job Specification:
-Provide proactive and efficient strategic management of client accounts
-Counsel clients at senior level across a broad range of communications requirements
-Create and pursue opportunities for account growth and development
-Ability to analyse and create key messages through understanding of a client business and related media perceptions

-Promote and increase new business opportunities within their specialist areas
-Achieve set targets for new business development and actively participate in the new business process

-Provide appropriate and effective management to line support
-Train, motivate and develop staff to maximum potential and conduct annual appraisals/reviews
-Actively participate as part of the senior management team and offer proactive business advice to improve the operational aspects of the business and implement new initiatives

Person Specification:
-A broad and deep understanding of the communications business and possess a solid grasp of broad economic, political, business, financial and social issues as they affect clients and their communications objectives

-Strong understanding of the media relevant to financial services clients

-Financial awareness in terms of delivering agreed programmes on target and within budget

-Ability to write effectively and persuasively a broad range of materials from press releases to client pr programs, articles for placement, new business proposals amongst others

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
