A great opportunity has arisen for a Business Development person to cover Essex, Herts and Suffolk for my client who are a vibrant large global Freight Forwarding Company with the UK head office in Middlesex.They specialise in providing flexible logistics capabilities that start from the planning stage, and go all the way to the delivery of your goods. They listen to your unique business needs and can jump into whichever part of the logistics supply chain you need them, be it Plan, Source/Make, Book/Move or Deliver. All of their solutions are developed internally, including customs brokerage, air cargo, ocean cargo, domestic services, risk management, distribution, security, import and export compliance.
This comprehensive, flexible spectrum of services is supported by leading-edge information technology to provide a high level of inventory visibility and track and trace capabilities.
Ideal candidate will have: good sales skills, preferably with freight industry background, however, industry background is not essential.Smart appearance is essential as are excellent communication skills written and verbal are a pre requisite. You will be proficient in Microsoft packages and will hold a full clean driving license.
You will have the willingness to learn new systems as sales training and educating on their unique sales approach is essential to being successful in this role.
Your sales area will cover Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk, field based but required to be at the office in Middlesex once a week for meetings.
Basic salary depending on experience from 23k .. uncapped commission car allowance, laptop, pension, mobile, healthcare, pension, shares/ employee stock purchase plan
