Sales Account Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Account Manager to join this well established fast paced organisation in the heart of Tunbridge Wells.

This is a new business, field based role. The applicant will be required to spend three days a week on the road in meetings and 2 days in the office attending internal team meetings, canvass calling, updating information and dealing with client queries.

No existing accounts will be assigned to the AM.

The role entails managing your own diary to book out a minimum of 12 meetings per week. Meetings are booked via leads from internal data base, internet, referrals etc. The AM will be in charge of logging their activity on the internal databases including ACT and Outlook.

They will need to organise themselves to ensure they have everything they need to carry out their job on the road (i.e. relevant sales tools). A blackberry is provided to allow them access to their emails.

The industry the AM will be targeting is the temporary recruitment industry. The applicant will be expected to gain interest from the decision maker within the recruitment agency to promote services to their temporary staff. Relationship building and customer services will be imperative to winning the business in a highly competitive industry. It is important the AM is able to explain our product clearly and enthusiastically.

The role will require the AM to negotiate with the customer closing for the best possible deal. The applicant will be regularly required to stay away on nights out; the amount of these nights out will be dependant on the location of customers they work with and the requirements of the customer. But the applicant will need to be able to stay away as and when required.

Along with meetings in the week, relationships with customers are built through client entertainment such as meals out and taking them to sporting events.

The AM will need to have good numeracy, literacy and computer skills as they will need to carry out follow up tasks to their meetings including drafting letters, putting together charts and giving quotations.

AMs are targeted on new business, number of agencies referring to us and new contractors signed, as well as canvass calls and meetings per week. Incentives are run for all targets including trips away and retail vouchers.

Training- the successful applicant will be provided with in house product training, and will shadow other AM's on the field to learn the full job role. Weekly team training sessions are held on Fridays for general sales skills, product knowledge and motivation.
