PR Account Manager

Due to expansion my client a 360 degree communications agency with a lovely portfolio of clients is looking for an Account Manager to join their ever increasing team.

Reporting to: Directors you will be working to Achieve client coverage in key publications, general account management and support to the directors.

Overview

• General account management including day-to-day liaison with clients, answering queries and responding to PR opportunities
• Proactively sourcing leads and opportunities for potential media placements
• Writing client synopses and press releases
• Supporting the Directors where appropriate
• Selling in business articles to the nationals, trade press and others as appropriate
• Keeping media schedules up-to-date
• Maintaining excellent and proactive relations with journalists
• Preparing materials for client meetings
• Attending client meetings and lunches where required
• Setting up and attending ‘meet and greets'

• Reviewing forward features and highlighting areas of potential opportunity

 

New business development

• Identify new business opportunities
• Proactively take the lead in the creation of new business proposals
• Attending and presenting at meetings with existing and prospect clients where necessary
• Pitch, presentation and prospect follow up where appropriate

• Supporting the Account Directors where appropriate

 

General

• Raising the standard of account management to ensure that all communication with clients, and all outgoing communication, is of the highest quality

• Day-to-day management and mentoring of junior members of the team

 

Good basic salary.
